Recently, I had the pleasure to go shopping for a new Smartphone. I tend to be a pretty level headed shopper so I wasn’t about to blindly purchase either a BlackBerry, iPhone or Windows Mobile 6 phone without trying all of the competing products and platforms for myself. I got my hands on my friends phones to see how they handled e-mail and web surfing and I spent a lot of time on sales floors looking at different models.

What I found was that all of the phones performed very well, but one platform offered superior value. The Windows Mobile 6 phones were excellent at handling e-mail and editing documents due to their built in compatibility with Microsoft Office, and the phones were all very fast and very stable. What makes the Windows Mobile platform a real no brainer are the large number of rebates available for the Windows Mobile phones.

I ended up getting a BlackJack II and I couldn’t be more satisfied.  After rebate, the phone was only 70 dollars and I am sure I could have found a better price if I looked around more. The 3G speed means that the phone literally does everything I could want it to, including stream live TV. I highly recommend a Windows Mobile phone for both business and personal use.
